Frames & Labels
Frames and labels turn a plain QR code into a branded, actionable element. A frame adds a decorative border, and a label tells people what to do (“Scan Me”, “Learn More”, “Download the App”).
Adding a Frame
Section titled “Adding a Frame”- Open the Customize panel (right-side tabs).
- Click the Frame tab (the border/frame icon).
- Click “Choose Frame” to see available frame styles.
- Select a frame design from the quick-pick gallery.
Available frame styles include:
- None - Just the QR code, no frame.
- Simple Border - Clean rectangular outline.
- Rounded Border - Soft, modern look.
- Solid Fill - Colored background behind the QR code.
- Gradient Fill - Gradient background (optional).
- Fancy Decorative - Ornamental borders with visual flair.
Each frame updates your preview in real-time, so you can see how it looks with your QR code colors and logo.
Frame Label
Section titled “Frame Label”Add a call-to-action label inside or below your frame:
- Enable the label by typing text in the “Label Text” field.

- Inside - Label sits inside the frame border (if your frame style supports it).
- Customize text:
- Font - Choose from available typefaces (sans-serif, serif, monospace).

Frame Color Coordination
Section titled “Frame Color Coordination”If your frame has a background color:
- Ensure contrast between the frame color and QR code dots.
- Test labels: Make sure label text is readable against the frame background.
- Consider printing: Colored frames look great on digital, but test print samples to ensure colors stay vibrant.
Template Storage
Section titled “Template Storage”When you save a frame + label combo as a brand template, all these settings are preserved:
- Frame style
- Label text
- Label position
- Font, size, and color
- Frame background color
Apply the template to new QR codes and the frame and label appear instantly—no redesign needed.
Pro Tips
Section titled “Pro Tips”- Keep labels short: 1–3 words scan faster and look cleaner.
- Match your brand: Use brand colors for frames and labels.
- Test visibility: At small sizes (e.g., stickers), frames and labels should still be legible.
- Combine with logos: A frame + logo + label creates a complete branded unit that commands attention.
Your frames and labels are rendered directly into the QR code image when you download it, so they travel wherever the QR code goes—print, email, social media, or digital signage.
