Upgrading & Downgrading

You can change your plan whenever you want. No long-term contracts, no penalties. Here’s how it works.

  1. Sign in to your Qrius account.
  2. Go to SettingsBilling.
  3. Click Upgrade on the plan you want.
  4. Review the cost (we’ll prorate any charges) and confirm your payment.
  5. Done. Your new features are live immediately.

If you upgrade mid-month, we charge only for the remaining days at your new plan’s rate. For example:

  • You’re on the Free plan ($0/month).
  • On day 15 of your month, you upgrade to Pro ($29/month).
  • You’re charged roughly $14.50 — half the monthly cost for the remaining days.

Your next billing date stays the same. After this month, you’ll be charged the full Pro amount on day 1 of your cycle.

  1. Sign in and go to SettingsBilling.
  2. Click Downgrade on the plan you want to switch to.
  3. Confirm the change.
  4. Your downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

What Happens to Your QR Codes When You Downgrade?

Section titled “What Happens to Your QR Codes When You Downgrade?”

Your codes keep working. Period. Even if you downgrade from Pro (500 codes) to Free (5 codes), all your existing QR codes continue to scan and track data.

The limit only applies to new codes. So if you have 100 active codes and downgrade to Free:

  • All 100 codes keep scanning.
  • You just can’t create any new ones until you delete some and get below the limit.
  • Once you’re under the limit again, you can create more.

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. So if you downgrade on day 5 of a 30-day cycle, you keep your current plan features until day 30. Then you switch to the lower plan.

If you’re happy where you are, you don’t need to do anything. Your subscription renews automatically on your billing date. You’ll see a confirmation email a few days before each renewal.

Need to stay at $29/month but switch from Pro to a hypothetical “Pro Plus”? Just contact us — we’ll handle the switch without re-billing you.

”I upgraded but want to go back to Free.”

Section titled “”I upgraded but want to go back to Free.””

Downgrade anytime. Your paid features stay until the end of your billing period, then you’ll be on Free with all the Free limits. Your existing codes keep working.

”I upgraded for a campaign but don’t need the higher tier anymore.”

Section titled “”I upgraded for a campaign but don’t need the higher tier anymore.””

Downgrade at any time. No refund for the current period, but you’ll stop paying the higher rate after your cycle ends.

”I’m on Free and almost hit my 5-code limit. Should I upgrade?”

If you just need a few more codes, delete one of your test codes or pause it. If you’re genuinely running 5+ active codes regularly, Starter ($12/month) for 50 codes is a solid move.

You have 14 days to request a refund. See our Refund Policy.
